Girl after my own heart

Sara, my niece, asked me, "Aunt Ali, once you get your baby out, can you do flips off the diving board again?" Oh yes, Sara – I can and I will!

Grandma Rocks!

My Mom participated in the 3-day/60-mile Susan G. Komen walk for breast cancer last weekend in Boston. I'm so proud of her! In addition to cheering Mom on, Andy and I had an extra fun weekend hosting my sister, our nephew and niece, who came up for the weekend to support (and surprise) Mom. Check out the video Andy put together, which documents the moment when the kids surprised Mom along the walk route. Grandma Rocks!

It's OK, We're Cousins!

By the end of her visit, my stomach was sore from laughing so hard with Brit! I was so glad she was able to spend some time with us in Boston especially with her impending plans to move down south. I must say, I made a valiant effort to persuade her to move to Boston instead but that proved to be a tough sell....was it my parka?

Parents' Weekend

Parents' Weekend is usually a term reserved for autumn and college campuses but our parents were visiting for the weekend and well, PW just stuck. We were so excited to get our folks together in one spot to enjoy our home with us. Of course, eating and drinking was on the agenda (we do that really well). While we toasted to the famiglia, we also discovered the goodness that is cilantro, ate golden toast with our "French" friend and determined that a cemetery is, in fact, a nice place to spend an afternoon.
Our famigilia rocks! See photos of the weekend here.

Christmas Morning

Andy & I slept over BethAnn & Tom's house so we could watch TJ and Sara open their presents on Christmas morning. I think Andy and I were more excited than they were - we woke up every hour wondering if they were awake yet! Thankfully, it was a mature 7:30 by the time they were ready to come downstairs. They were so cute (seriously, look at them - does it get any cuter?) and we were psyched to be a part of the yuletide energy.
